My First Time Mountain Biking: Here's What I Learned

We’ve got a newbie over here! I had the opportunity to try out a new sport recently and what a treat it was!
Having lived at the very most southern tip of Ontario for most of my life, hills were usually hard to come by. Everything around that area is flat, flat, flat – meaning the word “mountain bike” was not even part of my vocabulary. Having recently relocated to the big city of Toronto, I’m quickly realizing just how popular the sport really is! Yes, even in the midst of all the hustle and bustle there are still some pretty great places to ride.
That said, I was definitely hesitant to get out there for the first time, mostly out of fear that I’d injure myself – but, as you’ve probably gathered, I made it out alive and am ready to tell the tale! I had an absolute blast, even on the beginner trails, and I would encourage everyone to give it a go! That said, listed below are some things a total beginner can expect from their first mountain biking experience – sore tushie included.
