I love running. When I’m in the midst of a good workout and I’ve got my go-to cardio playlist pumping (currently #Lemonade, obviously), I couldn’t feel more unstoppable! Maybe it’s the endorphins, maybe it’s the distraction; regardless, a runner’s high is a feeling that many people quickly fall in love with.

I enjoy running for the benefit of my mental health almost as much as for my physical health. It’s a great way to clear your mind and check-in with that little voice inside your head. However, this can be hard to do when you’re surrounded by people and constantly being interrupted by traffic lights – the unfortunate downside of the urban lifestyle. That said, below are some reasons why I think trail running is a kick-ass alternative to pounding pavement in the city (and why you should too)!
